Stamping and Embossing On Birthday Cards

Have you seen the stamping and embossing effects on birthday cards and wonder how the look is achieved?

In this less than 7 minutes card making video tutorial, the very creative Kristina will show you step by step on creating stamped and embossed effects on your cards. This technique will give your card a "patterned paper" look and additional texture too.

Besides the usual card making supplies, you'll also need the below supplies to try out this fun technique:

  • Clear stamps
  • Acrylic stamp block/ clear block
  • Emboss stamp pad
  • Embossing powder
  • Heat gun
  • The easy steps are:

    1) Slide your emboss stamp pad along your clear stamp.
    2) Stamp your image where you want it to appear.
    3) Pour embossing powder over the stamp images (be sure that you have scrap paper or a funnel to collect the stray/scattered embossing powder).
    4) Shake off the excess embossing powder.
    5) Use a heat gun to heat over the images to melt the embossing powder.

To watch the video, simply hit the Play button. Got dial-up or experiencing slow Internet connection? Then start the video and press on the Pause button to let the video load fully first. This way, you can watch it without problem. Enjoy!

If you're looking for a good heat gun to enhance your card making projects, be sure to check out Marvy Embossing Heat Tool.
