Here’s one super simple and attractive card idea which you can quickly adapt into a Father’s Day card.  I have a number of masculine homemade birthday card ideas on my website which you can browse through for ideas and inspiration in making cards for the men in your life.

To help you in your card making projects, I have some free printables which you can download, print, cut and use in your card designs. Just note that these printables are for your personal use only.

For this card, I’ve picked a cream circle greeting tag as the central focus point of the card. Then to add more dimension and interest to the tag, I’ve added a mini yellow brad to the center of the little blue circle of the cream circle tag. This circle tag can be found under Happy Birthday Printable WordArt 2 over at my free printables page.

Looking to this circle tag for color inspiration, I’ve selected a brown background and matching it with blue colored paper. To stay within the color scheme, I managed to grab a striped patterned paper that contains similar colors.

When it comes to making masculine cards, I tend to keep it real simple and clean. The focus is usually on the colors and some geometric shapes.

Tip: You can print out the printables using normal printing paper. But I’ve found that the quality and result is much better using white cardstock. Cardstock is heavier weight paper, sturdier and usually comes with some texture.
