After you unwrapped the gifts, how do you usually deal with the wrappers? Into the trash bin? Before you dump them all away, take a few seconds and retain the beautiful wrappers. These wrappers could easily be used as patterned papers for your cardmaking. It's true that not all parts of the wrapper can be used especially if they are torn or crumpled (unless you're aiming for the crumpled look), but you can carefully cut out the crease-free sections and use them. 1) Cover the front of the white cardblank with wrapping paper.
2) Cut out a scalloped-edge border from the maroon patterned paper with scallop-scissors. For me, I drew the scallops freehand and then cut it out with scissors. Adhere the scallop-border to the right-hand side of the card as shown.
3) Attach a strip of brown ribbon across the card. Layer 3 flower petals on top of each other and put a red brad through them. Adhere completed flower to the card as shown with foam pads. 
4) Cut out a small block of cream embossed paper and adhere it below the paper flower at a slight angle. 
5) Pierce two holes on the right-hand side of the brown ribbon with a needle. Insert two pink brads through the holes. Back to Make a Birthday Card Tutorials
