Cheery Bright Birthday Card for Amy
by Fion
Handmade Birthday Card
This is a birthday card created for my sister-in-law Amy who just had her birthday in August.
I like to use bright colors in making cards, especially when it's for birthday. I suppose it's a day of celebration and happy feelings so bright, striking colors could bring out the mood nicely.
Card Making Steps:
1. Create a cardblank with yellow cardstock. Round the top-right and bottom-right corners with a corner-rounder.
2. Cut out a block of green cardstock. Doodle a border around it with black pen. Handwrite the greetings with black marker.
3. Use a flower template to draw out two sets of flower petals. Use a black pen to outline the flower petals. Adhere the flower petals on top of one another. Curl up the flower petals slightly by rolling them with a pen. Sew thread through the yellow button. Attach the button to the center of the flower. Attach the completed flower to the top left-hand corner of the green cardstock.
4. Wrap a piece of pink ribbon around the green cardstock and tie a bow in front. Attach the completed green block to the top half of the yellow card.
5. Cut out a block of patterned paper and attach it to the lower half of the yellow card.
6. Cut out a strip of lace ribbon and attach it to the patterned paper as shown.
