The simplified shape of the floral image inspired this birthday card. It is quite graphic, and I wanted to soften that a little so I used a modified version of the Rock'n'Roll technique. I then worked back into the image with a Blender Pen and some ink from the classic ink pads to give details and depth around the stamens.
Supplies Used I used the Bodacious Bouquet and Warm Words stamp sets from Stampin' Up. Inks are from the classic ink range - Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa and Cranberry Crisp. Card stock - Blush Blossom and Confetti White.
Card-making Steps Floral images were stamped on Whisper White card stock and cut out - include the stem when cutting out. Blush Blossom card stock was torn on one edge and distressed all around. Floral images were glued to Blush Blossom background -this way you can create any composition you like - you might have 3 or 4 flowers in you card. One flower was raised using a dimensional. I then tied some paper ribbon around the Blush Blossom card stock and glued everything to the Confetti White card base. Very quick!
Hint: Save time - Stamp a whole page of the flower heads, then detail and cut out as needed.
Hi Ann, thank you for this lovely card submission! I didn't know you could achieve such a soft and elegant look using stamping. This card conveys a great deal of femininity.
