Birthdays are the Best - Birthday Card with Stamping
The inspiration behind this birthday card for a 7-year-old boy was his gift - a gold fish and bowl.
Supplies Used All the stamps used are from Stampin' Up!, and the techniques include Stamping; Masking; Water colouring and Direct to Rubber colouring with markers.
Materials used are card stock, watercolour paper, Stazon Ink, Silver craft ink, Blue classic ink, water colour Crayons, Paint brush, Stampin' Write Markers, Hemp twine.
Cardmaking Tips I used variations of complimentary colours to make the card bright and cheery.
Tips for successful watercolouring: 1. Use watercolour paper - it won't warp with the water.
2. Start colouring with your lightest colour first - the darker colours will go over lighter colours.
3. Leave some white areas - helps to give a "light" feeling to the image.

Ann, thanks for your second card submission! I love how this card was inspired by the boy's gift of a goldfish and a bowl! It has such complementary colors that give it a striking look. Your tips on using watercolors are great too!
